Roberto Albisetti is an Economist from the University of Genoa, Italy with a postgraduate degree in Banking Operations and International Finance from the University of New York and a specialty in Management from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.

He began his career in Italy, in Ansaldo Finmeccanica. He moved to the United States to develop IPP industrial cogeneration projects and worked as treasurer and supervisor of Elsag-Bailey group in Cleveland, managing a complex multinational structure.

He served as a member of 12 boards of directors of companies and financial institutions, such as industrial companies, banks and private equity funds in different countries, including in Colombia, where he has been a member of JD de Titularizadora, Davivienda, Banco Caja Social, Procafecol ( Juan Valdez), Tribeca Fund, Tecnoquimicas and other SMEs from the Endeavor accelerator program and member of the international selection committee for entrepreneurship awards in Mexico and Colombia.
